Fourier Systems Honored With 2007 EDDIE Award

ComputED Gazette Recognizes MultiLab Software in Post-Secondary Science Category

NEW ALBANY, IND. (October 22, 2007) - Recognizing the company's advancements in developing high-quality educational science software, the ComputED Gazette has honored Fourier Systems with a 2007 Education Software Review Award (EDDIE).

The EDDIE was given for the company's software program, MultiLab, which is available on the MultiLog, MultiLogPRO, TriLog, and TriLink data loggers as well as the Nova5000, in the category of Post-Secondary: Science. MultiLab is a comprehensive program that allows users to collect data, display data in graphs, meters and tables, analyze data with sophisticated analysis tools, and even view online or recorded videos of the actual science experiment. The program includes four displays: graph, table, video, and a navigation display called the Data Map.

"We are so pleased that MultiLab has been recognized as a best-in-class product for the science classroom," said Brenda Raker, CEO of U.S. Operations for Fourier Systems. "We have a passion for creating tools and programs that will inspire and encourage students to experiment and master science and math skills."

MultiLab also allows students to view online or recorded movies. The complimentary camera offers students the opportunity to film their experiments, while the experiment data is displayed in graph or meter format. In addition, users can participate in e-learning projects as MultiLab allows them to produce complete multimedia lab reports with real-time, synchronized annotated graphs and videos. The workbook tool also gives students a step-by-step preview of the lab activity they will be conducting and then automatically configures the MultiLab program so they can immediately begin to collect data.

The ComputED Gazette and award program review stated: "MultiLogPRO with MultiLab sets a new benchmark in data logging tools... Simple to use, yet complex in its array of data collection and processing abilities, this 2007 EDDIES Post-Secondary Science winner could be used throughout the secondary years as well."

The ComputED Gazette is the sponsor of two annual software awards programs, and is published by the ComputED Learning Center, San Diego's leading computer educator resource. To see the organization’s review of the MultiLab Software, visit http://www.computedgazette.com.
