This month we'll be presenting Part 1 of the Goose Creek Case Study and discover why Sharon Sprayberry, Director of Instructional Technology considered the Nova5000 ideal for their Distirct-wide one-to-one program. We're also following two leading speaking engagements by Fourier's CEO, Mr. Dov Bruker in the UK and USA and highlighting yet another positive Nova5000 review. In addition, Fourier R&D are introducing some new looks for Fourier products: The new black and silver design for the Nova5000 and modern squared design for all Fourier probeware.
Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District (GCCISD), located southeast of Houston, Texas, covers more than 128 square miles and currently offers 25 educational centers and support facilities to Harris and Chambers counties. Building additional facilities to support the rapid growth of the area – largely due to residents of Houston moving into the suburbs, immigration and an increase in population after Hurricane Katrina – the district also is bringing on 200 new teachers for the 2007-2008 school year.
Visit Fourier at the 3rd Annual Handheld Learning Conference
Visit Fourier Systems at booth #E20 during this years Handheld Learning 2007 Conference: October 10-12th 2007. Now in its third year the Handheld Learning Conference and Exhibition has established itself as the signature event for those interested in opportunities presented by "always-on" learning.
This year Dov Bruker, Fourier Systems CEO will be joining other industry experts and giving a lecture on handheld learning opportunities as demonstrated via 3 diverse Nova5000 case studies from around the globe. Despite the unique challenges of these different educational locations, all require a hand-held solution. In his presentation Mr. Bruker will propose why the Nova5000 concept can provide a universal solution in each case.

September issue, 2007 - District Administration Journal
The District Administration Journal is one of the leading national journals for K12 decision makers in the US. In this edition Ultra Mobile devices are discussed as serious options for US District 1:1 programs. Nova5000 is the first considered for getting computing power into the hands of students and teachers.
"...Additionally, the Nova 5000 interfaces with sensors for data logging and analysis whith MultiLab software, making it a portable science lab..." Page 56
Yet another design option for the Nova5000 is now available. The stylish black and silver Nova5000 is available now and preliminary trials have indicated very positive responses from teachers and students alike. "The additional color option broadens the Nova5000's aesthetic appeal and even pre-release we've had a number of requests for this particular model" Mr. Bruker, CEO Fourier Systems told us
The full Fourier range of more than 65 probeware has experienced a facelift recently. The new design of the plastic enclosure for Fourier's sensors has started production and by early 2008 will be available for purchase.
The new modern design is replacing all of the small egg-shape plastic enclosures. It is important to note that since this design change is merely aesthetic, the catalogue number and functional specifications of all probeware remain unchanged.
